My experience at DevMountain ⛰️

dev

I recently completed a full stack JavaScript bootcamp at DevMountain, and it was an intense and rewarding experience. Over the course of the program, I learned a lot about software development and gained practical skills that I can apply in real-world scenarios.

One of the most valuable skills I learned was how to use Figma, a powerful design tool that is widely used in the industry. Through the bootcamp, I learned how to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that can be used to guide the development of web and mobile applications.

Another key concept I learned was the software development life cycle (SDLC), which is a framework that outlines the steps involved in building software. By understanding the SDLC, I gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of planning, testing, and quality assurance in the development process.

I also learned about continuous integration (CI) through CircleCI, which is a process that automates the testing and deployment of code changes. By using CircleCI, I was able to streamline the development process and ensure that my code was always working as expected.

In addition to these tools and concepts, I also gained valuable experience in test-driven development using Jest testing, which is a framework for writing automated tests in JavaScript. Through pair programming, I was able to collaborate with other developers and learn from their experiences.

Finally, I completed the 100 Days of Code challenge twice, which involved committing to coding every day for 100 days. This challenge helped me develop a daily coding habit and gave me the opportunity to practice and apply the skills I had learned throughout the bootcamp.

Overall, my experience at DevMountain was incredibly valuable and I feel much more confident in my ability to build and deploy full stack JavaScript applications. I would highly recommend this bootcamp to anyone looking to take their coding skills to the next level.
